As of Tuesday this week we have our reservations at TI. It’s Cathrine’s 26th birthday and we are going to Las Vegas to celebrate. The plan is to have Angela ride with us; Chris and family are driving earlier in the day separately; John is flying to Vegas from Texas; and Cathrine is flying to Vegas at 7pm on Friday.
With the wild fires going on, I was worried as much as I was excited to go to Vegas. Chris expressed her concerns in light of the ongoing wild fires taking place in the Santiago Canyon which is practically Rancho Santa Margarita’s backdrop. Angela felt strongly that she has to stay put to help out Chris and other family members in case they need to evacuate. With these nagging thoughts and everything else affected by the wild fires, it made sense to cancel our reservations. Understanding my worries, John canceled his reservations for Chris and family. Cathrine followed suit and canceled our reservations. Fortunately, the folks at the ticketing office honored the cancelation and issued a refund in consideration of the ongoing chaos brought about by the wild fires in OC. Bless their hearts!
Cathrine was just over here to drop off Bailey. She brought me a Halloween inspired placemat that says ‘You go, ghoul!’
She also brought me some L/O pad thai which I ate some of. And the best part of all, she bought us a gift certificate to fly on Southwest Airlines! (She said to make up for all the confusion and miscommunication about the Vegas trip. Awww Caths! You didnt have to. But thanks. Much appreciated. And on your birthday, too! We should be giving you something instead of you giving us something!….so what are we getting next year? jk only !! hehh) Freshest! Maybe we’ll use it for Hawaii during spring break in March 2008. Or maybe sooner. In January before Spring session begins.
At around 11ish Cathrine left to go home. Another hour and I would have belted out the infamous song!
It is now past midnight. It is now October 26. Happy Birthday, Cathrine! What birthday will be complete without this?
Hrrrm Hrrmm (clearing my throat…)
Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday, happy birthday, Happy birthday, Cathrine!
..and one more time. this time it’s for Bailey who celebrates her birthday on Halloween, October 31st… Happy Birthween! Happy Halloday! Happy Balloween! Happy Hirthday! Go Bailey! Go Rockstar!
Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday to you, Happy birthday, happy birthday, Happy birthday, Bailey!
Cathrine, have a good time in Vegas! Cheers!!! If you see Barry, tell him I am his #1 fan and have been since 7th grade! I can sing along to ALL his songs! They may all sound redundant, but who cares? It made him rich and famous! Tell him I saw him in concert at the Greek Theater and that I still have my ticket stubs. Also tell him that I will be naming our next pet fish after him!…………….attttttttttt the copppa, copacobana, the hottest spot north of havana, ummm…yeah..
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, GIRLS!
‘Last week the candle factory burned down. Everyone just stood around and sang, ‘Happy Birthday.’
