who knew? evidently, I didn’t!
going back 5 months ago I enrolled in math 351 (online) which is really high school math. I needed the refresher course so I can take 2 other higher math classes before I can take calculus so I can take the rest of my yada yada yadas for my ultimate dreamwork – a degree in biology, specializing in genetics research.
this is all supposedly a review of math I took in high school. well, I am pulling my hair when I am not using my finger and toes figuring out, among other things, - NO CALCULATOR ALLOWED! yeah right ! - the exponential evaluations after 9 months of some guy who has a balance of 732.50 at a 16.5 % rate compounded quarterly. like, whatttt? and that lady who noticed her new salary is now 1543.75 and with a 5% increase what was her former salary? Didn’t she know? She must’ve. After all she cashed all those paychecks. I didn’t. oh yeah, and that man who wanted to paint a room but not the 2 72″ x 64″ windows and 84″ door and so how many cans of paint does he need? Do I REALLY REALLY have to tell him? Go to Home Depot, homey!
Final exam is in two weeks. Yikes! I hope that lady has already figured out by then what her former salary was!
